Ժառանգութիւն
Heritage is a collection of Armenian songs connected to memory, homeland, longing and cultural roots. The music is sung in Armenian.
Heritage brings together twelve centuries-old Armenian songs collected by Komitas/Gomidas — Soghomon Soghomonyan (1869–1936). The album presents this repertoire in a special setting for voice, string quartet and duduk, preserving the intimacy of the songs while giving them a refined chamber-music colour.
The illustrated booklet features Armenian song texts with English translations by Alber Keşiş and illustrations by Zeycan Güleç.
