A musical journey through more than three decades.
Since 1994, Ilda Simonian has performed in concert halls, churches, theatres, festivals, museums and cultural institutions in the Netherlands and abroad. Her artistic journey reflects a lifelong commitment to Armenian music, sacred chant, traditional song and cultural storytelling.

 2024:

 Heritage | Miras | Ժառանգութիւն — concert and storytelling project at Surp Vortvots Vorodman Church, Kumkapi, Istanbul.

 2021–2022:

 Realizing Heritage — development period leading to the Heritage project, recorded for voice, string quartet and duduk.

 2020:

 Ilda Simonian and Ensemble Ararat — Stadspodium Djemaa el Fna, Rotterdam.

 2019:

 MIASIN — Armenian day with International Dance Ensemble Paloina.

 2018:

 Nacht van de Mystiek – Oosters Nabij, Theater LUX Nijmegen; introduction “What is Armenian Music?” during Holland Festival 2018; Club Antre Amsterdam with Ensemble Tombaz.

 2014–2016:

 Heimwee Liederen / Göç Türküleri — collaboration with Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and Theater RAST, including performances in Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and Deventer.

 2008–2011:

 Release and concert period around İzler | Հետքեր | Traces, including WOMEX Sevilla, Frankfurt and international appearances.

 2003–2007:

 Concerts and cultural projects in the Netherlands, Germany and Turkey, including Cologne, Amsterdam, Diyarbakır, Siirt, Batman and Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ.

 1994–2002:

 Early performances, radio and television appearances, solo concerts and cultural events, including Meervaart Amsterdam, IKON radio, NPS television, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Museum Catharijneconvent Utrecht.
